Welcome to the website of NY Smiles Dental.  These Terms and Conditions govern your access to use of our website, including www.nysmilesdental.com, and any of our digital patient communication portals, online booking systems, or social media integrations.

By accessing or using our Site, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the short code. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

  • Booking Requests: Submitting an online booking request does not constitute a guaranteed appointment. Your appointment is only officially scheduled once it is confirmed by our front office staff.

  • Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when booking or submitting inquiries.

  • SMS and Email Communications: If you opt into patient communications through our Site or third-party patient platforms (such as Practice by Numbers / PbN), you agree to receive automated reminders, administrative notices, and marketing messages from NY Smiles Dental. You may opt-out of these communications at any time by following the "unsubscribe" or "STOP" prompts in the message.

4. Insurance Eligibility & Front Desk Policies

  • Estimates Only: Any dental insurance eligibility checks, benefit estimations, or cost breakdowns provided through the Site, over the phone, or via automated portals are strictly estimates.

  • Patient Responsibility: You are ultimately responsible for verifying your insurance coverage with your provider. NY Smiles Dental requires a mandatory eligibility check and front desk verification sign-off prior to your scheduled treatment. You are financially responsible for any co-pays, deductibles, or non-covered dental services at the time of your visit.

5. Intellectual Property & Social Media Content

All intellectual property on this Site—including text, logos, custom graphics, and layout—is owned by NY Smiles Dental and Wix Platform.

  • Social Media & Fun Media: We love showcasing our office culture! Any fun videos, photos, or behind-the-scenes content featuring our doctors, assistants, or consenting patients published on our TikTok, Instagram, or in-office rolling TV playlists are protected under copyright. You may not copy, download, or republish this media for commercial use.

  • Patient Imagery: Any clinical "Before & After" photos or patient testimonials displayed on the Site or our linked social channels are featured with strict, written, HIPAA-compliant patient consent.

6. Code of Conduct & User Submissions

You agree not to use the Site to:

  • Submit false or misleading information.

  • Attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to our dental patient database, booking software, or scheduling systems.

  • Post or transmit any abusive, defamatory, or unlawful content on our social media plugins or Google Business Profile listings.

7. Google Business Listing & Reviews

We actively encourage patients to leave honest feedback on our public listings (such as our NYSD Google listing). Any promotional "thank you" gifts or incentives offered to patients who write a review are subject to change and are provided solely in accordance with state laws and search platform guidelines.
